UNIVERSITY – Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW) Yogyakarta has successfully achieved the highest group ranking with an Excellent predicate in Cluster 3 in the Student Governance Performance Information System (SIMKATMAWA) where the assessment is based on three aspects including the completeness of student institutional documents, independent activities and Kemdikbudristek activities.
The Superior Predicate for UKDW is stated in the results of the SIMKATMAWA data assessment and verification carried out by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for UKDW student documents in 2022 and 2023.
This ranking divides universities based on the number of active students in 2023 consisting of four clusters, namely Cluster I (> 18,000), Cluster II (> 5,000 and <= 18,000), Cluster III (> 1,000 and <= 5,000) and Cluster IV (<= 1,000). In this case, UKDW is in Cluster 3 with the number of active students between 1,000 and 5,000 students.
Mujiono SE M Sc as Head of the Student Affairs, Alumni and Career Development Bureau (Bureau 3) UKDW explained that the ranking results in the student affairs field by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology are very meaningful for UKDW.
“This momentum can encourage and motivate students to actively participate in various activities and competitions that are included in the category of national achievement center (puspresnas) activities,” explained Mujiono in his official statement, Wednesday (18/9/2024).
Various competition events organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology have been participated in, including the National University Debating Championship (NUDC), National Student Performance in Information and Communication Technology (Gemastik), Church Choir Festival, Selection of Outstanding Students (PILMAPRES), ON MIPA, Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM), Indonesian Building Contest (KBGI). These various activities are open to students who have talents to be developed and competed in.
In addition, he said, UKDW also holds various competitions both at the internal campus level and at the regional level. The competition will certainly be very meaningful for the process of developing students’ talents and interests.
“UKDW is very committed to supporting the development of students’ talents and interests. Funding and support for facilities to actively participate in various competition events have been carried out. Another important thing is the documentation and publication of activities, because this greatly supports the reporting process on the SIMKATMAWA page,” he said.
“The more diverse the types and levels of activities (events and competitions) participated in by students based on their respective talents and interests will further enhance UKDW’s reputation,” concluded Mujiono. (*/Hendro)
