SURVIVOR– Suffering from kidney disease and cancer does not mean a dead end. This was proven by designer Edo Alfredo who continues to work even though he has suffered from the disease for more than 12 years. On Sunday (22/9/2024), Edo held an event titled September Ceria Fashion Festival (SCFF) 2024 which took place at the Atrium Rama Shinta Sleman City Hall Mall Yogyakarta.
This event was not just a fashion show, but also a form of Alfredo’s personal commitment and a symbol of Alfredo’s gratitude and struggle who managed to get through more than 10 years of his journey against kidney failure.
This event featured the work of 38 talented young designers from students of the “AKK” Yogyakarta Social Welfare Academy and 25 designers from Yogyakarta and Central Java. As many as 100 children appeared as models, presenting fashion creations that radiated creativity. The involvement of these children is a symbol of a bright future, as well as showing support for those who are fighting the disease.

In addition to the modeling event, the September Ceria Fashion Festival also presents a Talent Competition event that provides an opportunity for participants to show off their various talents, from singing, dancing, to other art performances. SCFF 2024 cannot be separated from the support of various parties, one of which is Cornellia & Co.
This support reflects the spirit of mutual cooperation in presenting an event that not only highlights the aesthetics of fashion, but also becomes a forum to raise public awareness of the importance of support for survivors of kidney failure and cancer.
