JOGJA — Music is a work of art that will continue to live in every era, as long as it continues to be listened to and enjoyed by the public. Of course, this is the dream and hope of all musicians and songwriters. Where finally a song is not only enjoyed in the country where the music was born, but also listened to by music lovers all over the world.
This is what started Octav Panggabean, CEO of Royal Prima Musikindo, to collaborate with Javier Parisi, the John Lennon Impersonator. He has a vision to make the work of Indonesian musicians and songwriters heard by the world community.
Octav Panggabean said, “We are determined to bring the legendary works of Indonesian musicians and songwriters to the world, by being sung again by international musicians. In this case, it starts with Javier Parisi, the John Lennon Impersonator. Hopefully, this will be the first step for legendary Indonesian songs and music to be heard by music lovers all over the world. So that later, the whole world can enjoy legendary Indonesian music.”

Javier Parisi also recorded and performed legendary songs by Indonesian musicians and songwriters. Starting from the song Why Do You Love Me by Koes Plus, Mercys Band’s work entitled Love, to songs created by Vega Antares and Bilal Indrajaya, Representing Mercy’s Band, Erwin Harahap gave his support to the collaboration.
“It will be a matter of pride for our work to be sung again by international musicians, especially the song Love by Mercy’s band which was recorded and sung again by Javier Parisi, the John Lennon
Impersonator. This will be a collective pride for the Indonesian people, because the songs and works of Indonesian musicians will be heard by the world community,” Erwin added.
