PANCAKES — Every Sapar month, residents of Pon-dock Wonolelo Village, have a unique tradition. They share 2 tons of pancakes with the community.
This tradition is an expression of gratitude to God for the fortune they have received.
This annual event is always awaited by the surrounding community, even attracting the attention of tourists from various regions. The peak of this tradition is when thousands of residents fight over pancakes that are stacked high in a large pile.
Scramble Pancakes tradition is rooted in the history of Master Wonolelo who was a highly respected figure in the area and as a form of gratitude and sharing, residents share pancakes with others.
