IDME — As part of the Independence Day Military Expo (IDME) 2024 Exhibition held at Jogja City Mall on Thursday-Sunday (22-25/8/2024) amazed the people of Jogja. The Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) pilots performed airplane maneuvers by flying above the Jogja City Mall building. This action was the best action after this Team performed at the East Kalimantan IKN some time ago.
On this occasion, the Jupiter Team flew 2 Flexible Wing aircraft known as trike aircraft, namely: PKS70 and PKS 169.
In its action, this aircraft emitted colorful smoke and created a very beautiful painting in the sky. . However, considering that this smoke is very risky, the aircraft did not fly low. Even so, the public still felt entertained. Every now and then a plane passed by, they reacted by cheering.
Jupiter Team Commander Capt. Pnb Iwan Setiawan said, on this occasion the team performed 6 attractions and aircraft maneuvers demonstrated by the best and most experienced pilots.
“The Jogja City Mall area is full of high-rise buildings so that pilots are needed who are truly experts in controlling aircraft.” said Iwan to media crews at the Rich Hotel Yogyakarta recently.
Furthermore, Iwan explained, in addition to the single attractions, Jupiter will also escort the TNI Combat Vehicle Parade which is in action on land so that it will be a very beautiful show.
Before the action from Team Jupiter, it will be preceded by a Grob aircraft flying action that does a Fly Pass or flyby with a duration of around 6 minutes.
The maneuvers that will be displayed by Team Jupiter include: Jupiter roll (aircraft flying in circles), Jupiter Full Can, Jupiter Formation, Jupiter Twinkle Light and no less interesting, Team Jupiter will display a sky drawing action.
In addition to the aircraft action, visitors to Jogja City Mall were also entertained by the performance of the Polici Cilik from the Sleman Police Resort, the Drum Band of the Air Force Academy Cadets, the Kopasgat Unit of the Indonesian Army, and musical performances from the Take Us Band and Progo Police Band.
Meanwhile, Kuswandoko, as General Manager of Jogja City Mall, said, “This event is an exhibition of combat vehicles, light weapons and combat equipment from various dimensions.
During the exhibition, visitors can see a number of combat weapons and military equipment technology. This is to provide space for visitors to interact with military personnel or try out some military equipment that is safe for the public.
“This event aims to provide an opportunity for the people of Jogja and its surroundings to get closer and get to know the tools used in national defense and security.” said Kuswandoko
