SPORTS – PON XXI which took place in Aceh-North Sumatra is the biggest sporting event in Indonesia, and JNE also celebrated the historic event because one of its employees named Haggies Mugara representing the West Java contingent managed to win gold and silver medals for the Shorinji Kempo sport.
In JNE Bogor, Haggies Mugara joined since 2019 who started his career as a rider and now serves as a sales counter officer .
Although Haggies’ achievement is not the first, for JNE it is something to be proud of. Previously, Haggies had participated in the PORDA championship in 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 and won two gold medals. He also participated in the previous PON events in 2012, 2016, and 2021 and won one gold and two silver. Then at the 2013 Myanmar Sea Games, Haggies won silver and gold medals.
In 2013 in Osaka, Japan, Haggie also won a gold medal and in 2017 he also won a silver medal when competing in the USA, California.
“In my participation in PON 2012 I won silver, PON 2016 and PON 2021 won gold and silver. Alhamdulillah PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra won gold and silver again,” said Haggies, quoted from a media release received by the editors on Friday (27/9/2024).
In the midst of his busy schedule as a JNE employee in the delivery service sector, Haggies must be good at dividing his time between training and of course attention to his small family. With a shift work system, he can manage his time between work and training.
