MUSIC — A reggae music concert celebration, Wednesday (17/7/2024) was held at the Kridhosono Stadium, Kotabaru, Yogyakarta. Entitled “Island Vibes”, this concert featured a number of reggae music groups such as CTTZ, Richard D’Gillis, S2B Family, Alvons Freedom, Lawa and a number of other music groups. However, what is interesting is that Shaggy Dog will also appear at this concert as a guest star.
Aulia Mahariza as Event Promoter explained that the IslandVibes Concert in Yogyakarta was part of a show tour in 10 cities in Indonesia.
The Island Vibes Concert perform in several cities : Tangerang on July 3, Jakarta on July 5, Bandung on July 10, Purwokerto on July 13, Yogyakarta on July 17, Semarang on July 20, Malang on July 24, Banyuwangi on July 27, Sanur, Bali on July 31 and Mataram, Lombok on August 3. Later, the tour will close with an intimate performance on August 10 2024 at the spiritual home of Island Vibes, namely at Satna Sama Reggae Bar, Gili Trawangan.
At each show, the IslandVibes album will be performed by CTTZ, Richard D Gilis, S2B Family, Alvons Freedom, Lawa Amq, Kamga, Conrad Good Vibration and Radit Echoman. They are not only performed the songs on the tcrscbut album, but also their individual works.
This IslandVibes Reggae Party is an even more special treat because it is supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology from multimedia production directed by Taba Sanchabakhtiar as well as a hologram system by G Studios which will feature Steven again on stage with CTTZ. Aulia emphasized, this tour show was deliberately packaged in a special way as an effort to provide deeper awareness to reggae lovers and music lovers in general that this is a new level of reggae music in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Eki Puradireja as Album Producer explained that the IslandVibes Concert which was held in Jogja was part of a tour show held in several other cities.
IslandVibes it self is a compilation album containing 10 tracks dominated by reggae music and has been officially launched in the Indonesian music industry. One of his singles “TAKKAN ABIS ” became the biggest reggae music production ever on the Indonesian music scene.
Furthermore, Eki said that the appearance of reggae musicians on one stage was something very special. Because of this, he admitted that he felt honored to be a record producer containing the works of reggae heroes.
Currently, several songs on this album have been made into video clips and can be watched in digital format, while a documentary film about the making of the album will be shown at the CGV Mataram cinema on August 2, 2024.
